Many thanks Sirlin. I bought my CCC2 on Friday as it has only just been released in the UK. I have played super turbo on the easiest setting and slowest speed and I struggle to get to the end. I have done so 3 times without continues and had akuma twice. They say you need 3 perfects and no continues but I'm sure I reached akuma with fewer perfects. Do you know the mystery as to how to get akuma instead of Bison?
I would say this version is much harder than the arcade one I have played on but it depends how they have set the difficulty dipswitch.
Curiouisly I can do Hawk's super cyclone but have great difficulty getting an ordinary cyclone out.what would you say is the best way of doing the circular motion on the PS2 pad?How would you get Guile's super move out fingering wise?
I am very pleased with your super turbo version and I think the CPU does play partly like a human. It's good at blocking. On the subject of super street fighter many people rightly think street fighter 1 is terrible but surely more so than super.
What makes super turbo better than super?

Mathew Brown: The difficulty in ST on CCC2 should be exactly identical to the arcade version's difficulty. There was talk during development that CCC2's ST is harder than arcade ST, but after much testing, I was not able to prove it was any different.

When you say Hyper Street Fighter 2, I assume you mean Anniversary Collection. I can't speak to the difficulty of the CPU in that game. I have no idea. (Also, don't play the CPU in the first place.)

Super Street Fighter is widely regarded as pretty terrible. It was a step backwards from SF2:Hyper Fighting (the version before it) and was a huge failure in arcades. Super SF2 Turbo is strictly better. There's basically no demand for Super SF2, so I don't see why Capcom would release it unless it was on some uber SF collection with every single game ever or something, but that's unlikely too. Just hang in there and you'll get something good though.

Would you say the difficulty in super street fighter 2 turbo is the same as in hyper street fighter 2?the one thing I prefer about super turbo is being able to fight akuma at the end more easily. Is it possible to beat cpu akuma perfect using Ryu?How come the new challengers was not released on this edition too?I would like to see an arcade perfect port of that too soon with the same difficulty to complete the street fighter collection. I really think the original street fighter 2 games should be redone as an arcade perfect port too with the same difficulty as the arcade once again. Please reply Sirlin.

I just want to say, great work on CCC vol. 2. All that time and effort that was put into this compilation really stands out. I love playing all those arcade classics and as an old school ST player, I just want to say that your attention to detail for arcade accuracy is priceless. Your explanation in the ST tutorials was just what I needed to show my friends in order to break that "invisible wall" that kept my friends from playing ST and now I have more competition to play against, teach, and hopefully someday learn more strats from. On another note, that special quiz and dragons capcom trivia game was a very nice bonus.

Btw, I played CCC vol. 2 a while back at Comic con 06' and although it wasn't fully complete then, I was already hooked and I knew this was something worth my time. Now I look forward to the next compilation. =) Thank you and Congratulations David.

Hi David. Nice, nice job on both of these compilations. They're already on pre-order (PAL versions) As other posters have said, I'm looking forward to 3C2 for the ST and tutorials alone. I'm really hoping that you'll get around to doing a Vol 3 - but PLEASE put SF3 on this one! A similar Tutorial unlockable would be great too for 3S (such a deep game!) I know there wouldn't be too many titles on a third disc (Midway managed 3, and by the third iteration, the numbers of games dropped as the game complexity increased), but I really wouldn't care - in PAL territories, there was never a version of 3rd Strike for PS2 and I'd happily buy it for that title alone (others would too). Having AvP would be a cool addition to the scrolling brawlers on the previous two collections. Other nice additions would be MSH or even X-Men COTA, or even MvC (1 or 2) - not sure about the licensing implications though. Then of course, there are titles like Gigawing or Mars Matrix. Come on guys - you know you want to!
