I leave tomorrow for Montreal, Canada. I'll be there about four weeks, providing some game design services. I probably can't say more due to NDAs.
If any Guilty Gear Slash or Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo players happen to be near Montreal, perhaps we can play.

Have fun!

I’m on the island of Montreal, but sadly my games of choice are SSBM and 3s (not that I’m all too great at either, but it’s what I try to play). Still, I think it would be fantastic to meet someone as influential on competitive gaming as you. If I hear of any events happening, perhaps you could attend if you have the time/interest?

Going to Canada? My condolences.

Nice. Canada’s the greatest nation on earth! Lol. Sadly, I live in Toronto, and also happen to play pretty much every fighting game BUT the two you metioned (except T5, because Fuck Tekken). Anyways, enjoy your time in Québec, and try some poutine while you’re here. Trust me, you won’t regret it. ;)

I live in Montreal too. You chose a great week to come visit us, the sun is shining :-)

MAN!
If I had read this sooner… I could have had a showdown with Sir Sirlin…
It would have been so awesome. T_T
What brought you to Quebec anyway?

To quote Sirlin’s post:

Damn those tricky 4 sentence blog posts. ;)

I’d be down for some Guilty Gear. I could use some Faust tips. :)
Lemme know when you’re free.

Rock Joe, e-mail me to figure out a time. I tried to find your e-mail on your site but I couldn’t, ha. Btw, I have a mean Potemkin and Chipp, too. ;)

I would love to see a video of your faust, Sirlin. He seems to me like a perfect character for your play style and mindset, which I try to emulate (and I’m trying to pick him up).

Here’s a match of him playing Faust in GGXX/ (how’s that for an acronym?):

Oh awesome, thanks. I can’t believe I missed that!

Hi dude!
That was cool fighting you for a couple of bouts, you sure whooped my ass pretty well.
I’ve learned two things out it.
1- I should learn patience and focused.
2- I should use Balrog more often because I only won while using him, hahaha.
The fighting scene here in Montreal is pretty much dead now a days. It was cool to fight you because it reminded me of 1991-1994 when I used to get my ass kicked in arcades and plunking quarters.
Cheers!

Hey, good games Felipe! Yeah Balrog is top 3 in ST along with Dhalsim and O.Sagat. He can just keep attacking (even low rush while still charged for a headbutt) and then build up super meter really fast. Maybe you’ll have more of a chance to play when ST: HD comes out on Xbox 360 and PS3. :)
